hey guys

well hello guys and gals,
It's me again. A lot has changed in my life this last year. SO much in fact that it would take me a while just to catch you all up. For starters The Orphanage got a contract deal with a traditional publisher. Too Cool right? Yeah I Know. Anyway it will no longer be name The Orphanage and due to confidentiality I can't disclose those details right now. All I will say is that God opens doors for a reason and guides us along this screwed up thing called life. Next on the list well the novel comes out in July, yeah IM excited about that. I think it's utterly awesome. Also I'm back living in the good ole' United States. And currently trying to go through a divorce. I do have a new relationship with a great woman and she's fantastic...not much older than me in fact unlike the recent ex. (Lmao) I recently started talking to my mother again because my therapist suggested that for me to get closure and be a better human being that I first need to set some healthy boundaries with the one woman in my life that let me down repeatedly. We shall see how this goes. IF it doesn't work out then possibly it would be time for a new therapist. But only time will tell. My little brother Brandon recently got married in April...I hope it works out for him God only knows he needs a bit of stability in his life. I have a new nephew that also was born in April. Last year was the start of something new, I was diagnosed with Bi-polar, psychosocial skitzoid disorder, personality disorder with paranoia, and this year to add to the list I have early stages of progressive schitzophrenia. Fun and games I assure you as always.

If you had asked me at the end of 2013 would I be living back in the states and have a new gf and be going through a breakup just to name things off I would have thought you were crazy. But like I said earlier God has a plan for everything and things sometimes have to happen in our lives for us to be shown which way we need to go or where we need to be. NO I haven't converted into a full Bible basher before you all assume and think wow what happened here she clearly isn't the person we used to read about. I have in fact changed well atleast my way of thinking. I have shut some of the doors that would have been considered my life in the UK. I don't hate my ex and actually I do try to stay friends with her. Everyone says she did me dirty when we split however our relationship had in fact dwindled down to nothing but ashes nearly a year after we got together. I do not hold anything against her and in fact I have chosen to forgive her actions, she only did what she thought she had left to do as a choice and that was the affair that ensued. I wish her complete peace love and happiness where ever she is.

I guess today's food for thought or life's lesson is that don't take something for granted if you truly love someone or a situation you are in because it can in fact be taken from you. I am totally greatful that my life changed like it has. I have a complete new family in my life that I love and adore. I have my family around me when they choose to behave and I completely love the life I have. Anyway going to close here go in grace and patience.

Until next time
Amy

It was a close race and I would just like to say congratulations to all of the other candidates who were also nominated! If you would like to see the actual link itself please feel free to visit this link: http://writersandauthors.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/and-winner-is.html.

I would like to take the time to thank all of you who voted for me, and to say it is an honor to be this year's first Writer's and Author's first winner for favorite blog. Remember people starting in January there will be voting taking place for next year's shorty awards. You can find all of the information at this link that you need: http://shortyawards.com/. I think you will need a Twitter account to vote though and as you all know that is completely free to sign up. You don't have to be a fan of Twitter to vote. So make sure you get your vote in while you can! YOU can find my link for the shorty awards here: http://shortyawards.com/AECrowe1. My schedule once it's full will be posted here for you to find out all of the details.
Now how many of you had a good Christmas? I know I did. It was a wonderful day and even though it was cold there wasn't any snow. (Not that I mind in the slightest being from Georgia you don't really see much snow) The day was spent with very close friends and family. I still wish though I could have spent the time with my own family...maybe one day. Now what's everyone's plans for New Year? I personally haven't even figured out yet what I would like my resolution to be..however I do know that I want and need to get my next novel out titled Bullies...I am hoping for a March release date for that. People who have read The Orphanage and On the wings of Love are already asking me if I will make it into a trilogy...I wouldn't rule it out, but it's not on the cards at this moment in time. Anyway I will close there for now folks please remember stay safe and warm this holiday season!

Morning Campers!

Hello fellow authors, readers, followers, friends and family. Welcome back to my world. Why am I posting today? Didn't I just post yesterday? Yes in fact I did post yesterday. I try to help other authors out any chance I get. If you have been following my blog you know I have featured some really great authors. However I really haven't been informing you as an author what I myself get up to these days...Lol well here goes. I recently republished both my novels at the beginning of December this year. You can find them respectfully on Amazon. I will post the links at the bottom of this entry for those interested in taking a look. I would just like to let you all know I do have also have a Facebook author page, a twitter account, and other ways for people to follow me. Not that I am complaining over who is following me on this blog. In fact I am really thrilled. Now what else has been going on with me you ask? Well for starters as I said before I republished my two novels on Amazon and Create Space. And to my astonishment The Orphanage has been received back with open arms already. ( It didn't hurt that I did run a free promo period on Amazon either, lol) I have received nothing but positive feedback for this novel as well. I am sure some have only been trying to boost my spirits and to flatter me while other's have really caught even myself off guard. It's hard to believe that I come from a small town in rural North West Georgia and have in fact accomplished so much already. But the one thing I always wanted to do since I attended Garden Lakes Elementary school was in fact be an author like some of the greats; Margaret Mitchell, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, J.R.R Tolkien, Judy Blume, Danielle Steel, Stephen King just to name a few. I feel like at this moment in time I am finally getting to do just that.
You see the reason I say that is because in the last year as an author I have been featured n a few blogs, I have had my first internet radio show interview, and also have had my very first web magazine interview. Now as I close out this year I think of what might lay ahead for me as an author. Hopefully I will grow more is first on the list at the moment. However in recent days I have found out that I was put forward for my first shorty award for 2014! The race and voting for that starts in January 2014. The shorties as they are sometimes referred to are a collection of awards handed out in a huge ceremony and they range from a large range of categories anything from author-television can be voted for with the shorties. You can find the website here : HTTP://www.shorty awards.com. Not only do I have that to look forward to but I am taking part in my very first ever Virtual Book Tour as well which kicks off in March. (More about that later) Basically I am touring the web though in hopes of keeping my name out there and to keep my books out there as well. See a lot of people don't realize it but a VBT can in this day and age be very beneficial to a career of an aspiring author. Let's face facts this is the age of technology and unfortunately book sales are dwindling because a lot of people can't be bothered to read a good book. They want everything at the touch of a button. During my VBT I will be taking part in loads of activities including live Facebook wall chats, Twitter chats, eBook signings on Authorgraph just to name a few. So yeah in short there is plenty going on with me for 2014 already! Hopefully it will be a good year to myself and other authors out there who are trying to accomplish their dreams. I will still when I can try to do book reviews for authors and some more spotlights. Along with all of this I will also be working on possibly 5 more novel ideas maybe even a 3rd novel in the Abigail Crane series. I want to finish a screen play idea as well that I have put on the back burner. When I first started this endeavor not knowing what full potential I could achieve with it. I have been a writer all of my life. But sadly I lost that sense of wanting to do it a while ago, a friend of mine who we will just call Sam told me never give up and go for it. You could very well be the next "Big" thing. So with that in mind I will always look to the future because like Scarlett says in Gone with the wind "Tomorrow is another day."
I want to take this time to thank all of my followers and loyal fans without you it wouldn't be possible to be where I am now. Thank you all! I will keep everyone updated on what goes on with me as soon as I can! Thank you and Good night!

Book Review that is better late than never:

Welcome one and all back to the blog from the one and only hopeless author..myself! Today I am writing about a couple of books that I recently read written by a very good friend of mine named Jim Henry. Those two books are a part of a series known to most as the Universal Life Force series. The books that I have had the privilege of reading are:Antiquity Calais standing at Armageddon, and Antiquity Calais ascending Olympus.
What can I possibly say about these books? First and foremost Jim gets you hooked from the word go! There is more twists in these two books and turns and just when you think you have got it figured out trust me you aren't anywhere near where Jim takes you. His books are both insightful and intriguing. I truly enjoyed them.

Here's a summary of what the books are about: Antiquity Calais standing at ArmageddonAntiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon is the first book of the Fantasy/Science Fiction Universal Life Force Series. Antiquity Calais is the Creator's Liberator. Leviathan Avalon is Satan's most prolific Destroyer. Avalon has learned how to control the Universal Life Force and use it as his most potent form of destruction. He conjures the most powerful tsunami in history, wiping out life along the Atlantic Ocean in the United States. Every coastal city from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida is underwater. He believes he has committed the perfect crime with his killer tidal wave, but there is a catch. Antiquity Calais is a psychic writer, and he has a vision of the attack as it unfolds, and before long Antiquity is hot on Avalon's tail, traveling through multiple universes, up to Seventh Heaven to the lowest depths of Hell, until he and his friendsGillian Usha, Sherman Yazu and the Mighty Mundoo Asquith are all Standing at Armageddon.

In their journeys, Antiquity and friends discover the afterlife is not at all what they expected. Antiquity discovers a hidden race of light-form beings devoted to the Sun god Apollo. They cross paths with Satan. They discover there are many more universes in creation than any had ever expected. And....Antiquity and Gillian fall in love.
Jim Henry began writing this book while he and his son Tyler were anxiously awaiting the release of J.K. Rowling's final Harry Potter book. Every night at bedtime, Jim would read a chapter or two of whichever book they were reading, and the best seller Harry Potter books were Tyler's favorite. Although Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon stands on his own two feet, with a unique story line that involves classic science fiction and fantasy elements, with connections to the Biblical Book of Revelations as well. The Universal Life Force Series, brought to you by Full Moon Over Bunganut Publishing, is a classic tale of Good vs. Evilin the end of days that parents can feel safe to read to their children at bed time. (As borrowed from Amazon and based on the summmary written by the author himself)

The next book which is Antiquity ascending Olympus is about:Antiquity Calais, Gillian Usha, Sherman Yazu and the Mighty Mundoo Asquith have battled Leviathan Avalon, Satan's Destroyer, in the climactic first battle of the end times in book one of this science fiction/fantasy series, Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon.Satan does not take losing well, and the prince of darkness has special plans for hisdestroyer. The result creates a rift that will make matters rather complicated, as Antiquity must decide who the main target should be. No longer is this a simple battle of good vs. evil; it is a three-way battle for supremacy in Heaven, Hell, and all points in between in the last days!

Meanwhile, Antiquity meets the Council of the gods, straight out of Greek and Roman mythology, and learns there are some powerful allies who would like to join his cause as theCreator's Liberator. Gods and goddesses such as Zeus, Apollo, Hera, Aphrodite, among others are prepared to fight with Antiquity, but are their motivations pure?

In this volume, we learn that the Creator has a special vision for His Liberator and the love of his afterlife, Gillian. Readers will also enjoy knowing what happens when Osama bin Ladendied on Earth!
In Ascending Olympus, you can discover just how easily a universe can be destroyed, and how Antiquity and Zeus try to save the universe by using inter-dimensional travel with Apollo's chariot.

In the second installment of this fantasy series, Jim Henry develops the villain Avalon into an even more powerful and chaotic being, much as J.K. Rowling did with Lord Voldemort in the best seller Harry Potter books.

The climactic battle spreads from the plains leading to Hades to the entrance chamber of Hell, and even to Mundoo Asquith's home planet of Algonquin, all as Gillian is about to transform life as we know it.

There are adult themes in this volume, but Jim Henry handles them with the care a father of four should, so it is still appropriate for a young adult scifi/fantasy loving audience.

There is still much to learn as the Universal Life Force Series twists and turns toward the battle at the end of days. See what happens when Antiquity, Gillian, Sherman and Mundoo are Ascending Olympus!

Here is more about the Author himself: Jim Henry.

Jim Henry has been writing fiction ever since he learned to read in second grade. He completed his first "book" - a 65-page hand-written story titled "Time Warp" when he was in seventh grade.
He continued to write story after story all through his teenage years, before going to college to study broadcasting and journalism.
Through his 20's and into his 30's, Jim was busy writing things other people wanted him to write. He worked for eight years as a daily newspaper reporter for newspapers in Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut. In between jobs, he attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he received an M.A. degree in journalism history.
When Jim was 34, he was seriously injured, and it was during his recovery that he learned of the ancient form of eastern medicine known as Reiki. While he was receiving an energy healing treatment, Jim had a vision of a man dressed entirely in black, with his arms outstretched, standing before the Atlantic Ocean. In Jim's vision, the man conjured the largest tsunami in recorded history, inundating the entire east coast. Every city from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida was devastated.
Jim opened his eyes with a look of fear and shock on his face, prompting the energy therapist to ask what was wrong. He told her of the vision, and she responded, "You have got to write about this."
That scene, featuring a villain whom Jim named Leviathan Avalon, became the opening scene of the first book in the Universal Life Force Series, titled, "Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon."
Jim has subsequently published the second book in the series, titled "Antiquity Calais Ascending Olympus," and he is presently writing two more installments, titled "Antiquity Calais and the Children of Light," and "Antiquity Calais and the Wrath of the Cryptids."
Jim is a single father of four, and he has two stepsons whom he loves like his own children. Each child will have a book dedicated to him or her, so there will be at least six books in the series.
Jim lives in Florida and teaches online, allowing him the flexibility needed to be a hands-on dad for his children.

(As borrowed from his Author Central page)

So in closing I extremely recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one in the series!

It's been a while..

Hello friends! Happy holidays! I haven't wrote anything for a few weeks and thought it best that I check in now. So what's new with me? Hmm, well I finally finished editing The Orphanage and put it back on the shelves for a start. I also finally this year managed to complete the majority of my Christmas shopping before the big day...lol my mother would be so proud. ( I always hated doing Christmas shopping and never managed to get it completed until about Christmas Eve.) I haven't at this moment wrote any more on my current novel that I have been working on for nearly a year...I hope that over the next couple of weeks I can start making more time for me. I have had some medical issues over the last three weeks..in fact it feels like I have been in the wars as such. It seems I definitely inherited the "Clumsy" gene. Haha! I seem to always bang into something no matter how hard I try not to. I now have collected a bruise on my left arm, I stubbed a toe, and a nice "Goose egg" on my forehead on the left side. I also have some minor bruises on my right hand where I got it stuck in a door a couple of weeks ago. What can I say? If it can be done lol you can guarantee I will do it. Most of the injuries I have sustained were from taking part in a charity event for a 15 month old little boy who has a rare form of Retinal-blastoma. Basically he had to lose his left eye to this cancer and has two minor tumors behind his right eye...we hope that his Chemo does in fact help him but however this could be an ongoing condition through out his life.
I think the last time I made a post in this blog was when I was doing Author spotlights and book reviews...well on that note I still plan on doing them. I just have to manage to be able to squeeze some time in for them. This is in fact easier said that done at this moment in time. However I am still reviewing books and in fact I am reading one at the moment from an author who is called Jim Henry. It's his Antiquity Calias series. ( I will do a review just as soon as I am finished with it and I will write the correct title in as well) I am enjoying it though. I always enjoy helping other author's out as well.

That's all for now folks unless I figure out if I have left anything out!

This week's author spotlight:

I am sorry it's late folks but this spotlight goes to a very special author:

K.D. Rose

Here's what I found out about K.D. She's an author and a poet whom has two books out at the moment on Amazon. They are called: Heavy Bag of Soul and Inside Sorrow ( which is a silver award winner in the competition International Reader Awards for 2013) K.D.’s current book, Erasing: Shadows, the first in a series, has just been picked up by Lycaon Press, the Young Adult/New Adult Arm of Breathless Press Publishing. Look for Erasing: Shadows before the end of 2013! K.D. has an eclectic mind and loves language, physics, philosophy, photography, design, art, writing, symbolism, semiotics, codes, spirituality, and Dr. Who. KD Rose is an avid supporter of music, the arts, cutting edge science, technology, and creativity in all forms that encourage us to expand and explore past the artificial limits we often set for ourselves, and see the everyday connections that exist among all things.
K.D. Rose values the question more than the answer and loves creativity and innovation. K.D. is also a sucker for cutting edge thought and has been known to bring some into reality herself.
Why did you get into writing?
I’ve been an avid reader since I was able to read. Everything I could get my hands on or that my parents would let me read. We used to have the magazines in school where you could order books- I was the nerd going home from class with six or seven books loaded up in my arms. I wanted to read every book in the magazine. My parents had to set limits. Writing them was a natural progression from there.
What inspired you?
Books that moved me. Books that took my imagination places I hadn’t even thought of. Books that made me want to get up, right there and do whatever the book was about. There are so many good books out there.

Some of my favorite authors were (and are) Harlan Ellison and Philip K Dick. Also Robert Anton Wilson. And then the poetry. Oh, my god the poetry. Rimbaud, e.e.cummings, Baudelaire, Yeats, Borges. Some things are so good they make you want to transcend life on the spot.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Well, I don’t watch much TV. That is pretty much limited the Daily Show and Doctor Who ( which by the way is one of the only shows I’ve ever seen that has been able to move me in the same way a magnificent book can)
Is there anything you’re currently working on?
Yeah, a seven book series. Erasing: Shadows, which comes out this year, is the first book. Seven is daunting, I have to say. We plan to put out at least two books a year. And that doesn’t include my indie books which I will keep putting out. The next one is called I AM (Poetry in Motion). Poetry is the language of the Gods. It’s a shame more people don’t read it.
One thing you should know about me is that I am a quantum Idealist. I don’t believe in binary choices. In my world, Schrödingers cat is dead, alive, and is also is also living out multiple lives in different realities. In my world my favorite person to meet would be Neil deGrasse Tyson.
